Laura Butler
The current MJW Franchise Holder, Miss Laura Butler is the Director of Fusion Consulting and Invision Management Consultants in Jamaica. Miss Butler has over 15 years’ experience in Human Resources and Training and acts as a private consultant to a number of leaders in both Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. She also served as a director on the Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Small Business Association of Jamaica (SBAJ), where she helped to create job opportunities, secure funding and provide business support to Micro and small businesses island wide. She also worked with the Jamaica Employers Federation, where she assisted with the development & conduct training of programmes. Her team is responsible for the Jamaica Institute of Bankers “Protocol and Business Management Programmes”, and works closely with the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica in addition to a host of other companies.
Miss Butler is also the director of a non-profit company called, Success Jamaica Limited. This non-profit was formed by Carina Cockburn and Laura Butler in 2003. Success Jamaica is responsible for the annual seminar “Surviving the Corporate Jungle” which hosts over 400 students each year and is designed to bridge the gap between university students and young people entering the corporate world for the first time. She continues to make a meaningful contribution to the further development of organizations and ultimately the Jamaican and Caribbean people.

Carina Cockburn
Carina Cockburn, PMP is an Advisor in the Caribbean Country Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Carina is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has been a trainer in the field for many years. Her array of professional skills also includes grant proposal writing, strategic planning and business process reengineering.
Carina has wide experience working in both private and public sectors, having managed projects at the Financial Sector Adjustment Company (Finsac), Sagicor Life Insurance Company, J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, the Canadian InternationalDevelopment Agency (CIDA) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) of the Inter-American Development Bank. She currently works in the IDB’s headquarters in Washington D.C. but has also worked extensively in her home country Jamaica as well as in The Bahamas and Belize.
A Jamaica Rhodes Scholar, Carina holds an M.Sc. in Economic & Social History and M.B.A. from the University of Oxford, U.K.
